See the discussion under L for Lion. The little pointed ones with the nipple top. Sorry, got carried away.

Carried away and locked up.

Fly agaric, the species that hookah-smoking caterpillars, fairy-folk and Italian plumbers are known to recline on, are even more psychoactive than the liberty cap mushrooms, and can cause convulsions and even death if you exceed the 'recommended' dose. And unlike the psilocybin mushrooms they do not fall under the Misuse of Drugs Act - as you will of course know. So just the thing to promote to impressionable children. They're prettier too.

Or should that be under 'T' for toadstool?

Sorry headmaster, magic toadstool is not the same as magic mushroom, now is it? The point I was getting at in a pedantic lawyerly fashion was that m is for mushroom, but for the cognoscenti it is for magic n'est ce pas?

I never did consider the tearching staff to be infallible, and keenly anticipate detention for my behaviour.

The teaching staff at this school IS infallible, but fortunately for you it is also flexible. Your mushroom illustration is ready - in the style of a collector's field guide, to avoid mistakes (hint, crush the stems, they should acquire a dark bluish stain).
